Thread: I want to buy HDMI CABLE for SAMSUNG LED TV

Hi Guys I have recently purchased Samsung LED TV and also have HD DVR Recorder. I want to buy a HDMI revision 1.3 cable.The DTH provider has suggested me to purchase HDMI cable with GOLD color, Please let me know the price, I require approx 6feet (2meters).....

You probably mean "gold plated". You will need HDMI 1.3 for normal HD-TV. If you have 3D HD-TV, it is better to go for HDMI 1.4 cable.

Now to come to the question of HDMI cable quality, plating, cost, etc. For the same length and HDMI version, you will astounding price range - right from Rs. 100 to Rs. 1000!!

Note that HDMI signal is digital. All HDMI cables are digital. So what does this mean?

This means that in the world of digital electronics it is either 0 or 1 - so it works or doesn't work. This further means that any HDMI will either work or will not work. A cheap HDMI cable (costing Rs. 100) will almost be as good (or bad) as the Rs. 2000 one. So do not spend more money than required.

Check local electronic shops or e-bay for prices. A 6 ft. HDMI cable should cost no more than Rs. 150/-.
