Congratulations on your new car.
Congratulations on your new car.
Roads in Pune are no different.
Actually my car is right now back at the garage. The new Civic V-MT comes default with the rear parking sensors. I was delivered the car from a slightly older stock that did not have the feature. So the dealer took is back the next day and now going to fit the sensors (free of course). But the part was on backorder. So I am getting the car back on Tuesday.
Thanks. Are you able to view the pictures?

Congrats Farce. How is the Caddy doing? I hope you have not sold it off.
omigosh PF you have a cadillac !!! sweet![]()
Yes. PF is indeed our Cadillac man (of course without all those troubles).
I have seen it. If I remember correctly, it is gleaming black.
nice car
Looks cool
I think its about time we get a review on how has the first two months been![]()
First two months have been great. No problems so far. But that is not surprising. Here are my personal thoughts:
- Engine: Very good. Engine is smooth. A slight press of the pedal revs up the engine and there is a distinct 'G' force applied to you that makes the back pressed to the seat. Gear box is very smooth and short.
8/10
.- Fuel economy: My daily (weekday) commute is 36 km. 50% of this is on good/low congestion road. I am getting 11.5 km/litre which is most satisfactory. My Santro gives me 14.5 for the same run. I suppose that pure highway cruise would give me about 14 km/l while on congested city roads this should drop to 8~9 km/l.
I am itching to try long drive out some time. Because I purchased after the start of the school season, I have not been able to take up a long drive. Plus the roads are not in too good condition right now.
9/10
.- Cabin: Very plush. Leather seats are good. The seats are firm and not too much foam. A person I know owns a VW Jetta. His seats are more soft. But I prefer it a little hard. Dashboard is out of the world. Five cabin lights add extra glamour.
9/10
.- Features: Not very impressed.
5/10
- Seat adjustments, headrest adjustments, etc. are manual.
- A car of this cost should be provided with lumber support.
- The adjustments could have been electric.
- I miss the audio controls on steering wheel. These are available in the rear seat arm rest.
- Sound system is excellent but there is a sigle CD changer only. This is not an issue because I feel that the days of CDs are on the wane and MP3 players are in. Car provides USB adapter for iPod.
- Bluetooth for phones should have been provided.
- Cruise control (on manual transmission) compensates a bit for low marks.
- So do reverse parking sensors.
.- Ride Quality: As good as it gets or what you can expect in a car of this cost/segment. Engine noise is low. Road/wheel noise is lower than average. Suspension is good. But low ground clearance is a spoiler.
7/10
.- X Factor: Even though the car model is five years old and there are enough on the road, it still makes eyes (and necks) turn.
9/10
My question for the X-factor is "Does it do dougnuts?" :P
Congratulations for your new car.
