Exclamation !dea 3G Mumbai - Discussions, Q&As, Comments etc.

Please post all your Idea 3G Mumbai views and queries here.
I'm an Idea user of Mumbai.
Idea is currently in roaming agreement with Airtel and is currently using Airtel's 3G network in Mumbai. I get good 3G network coverage throughout Mumbai and Speed is in MBps yes but not 21MBps! I get an 'R' (roaming) sign on my cellphone when I use 3G network and get 'Airtel' written in network name (roaming agreement you see) which changes to 'Idea' in few minutes and remains 'Idea' till I disconnect.
Currently the government is against the roaming pacts between telcos and so is planning to ban 3G spectrum sharing through roaming. However next year in 2012 most probably by January end, govt. is going to legalise sharing of spectrum for pan-india coverage by mutual agreement rather than roaming So mostly by Q1 2012, Idea will be having it's own network in Mumbai and throughout India.
So you won't be getting the roaming sign ('R') in home network and no more 'Airtel'.
Idea 2G coverage and EDGE in India is outstanding and CC is satisfactory.
I wonder why our govt. is so confused! While other countried have reached 4G, we are still struggling for 3G! These Old Ministers and Netas are just thinking about how to fill their Swiss accounts everyday and they care a **** about the development of our country! I hope these oldies die soon and the reign comes in the hands of our generation!
I'll be uploading speedtest results soon once I do it!

    Post SpeedTest Device

The above SpeedTest was done from my Android phone with an Application named Speedtest.net which I downloaded from the Android Market!
My Device : LG 500 MHz processor 512 mb RAM, Android 2.3, 7.2 mbps compatible.
Speeds will be more if the SpeedTest is done from PC!

Please Note all 3G users : Speed also depends upon the plan you take. If you take the base plan, u will get the base speed. If you take a high plan, you get high speed. This is officially told by all telcos.
I have taken base plan i.e. 100Rs./200MB per month. So I can get maximum 3.6 mbps (base speed). Higher the plan, higher the speeds from 3.6 mbps - 7.2 mbps - 10.8 mbps - 14.4 mbps - 18 mbps - 21.6 mbps! This is for limited plans.
Unlimited plans will get speeds of 3.6 - 7.2 mbps as of now!
Some telcos claim speeds upto 28 mbps (like Reliance ) but I guess thats fake, atleast in Reliance surely!
