Idea Unlimited 3G Data Packs for Kolkata

With competition rising with 3G services Idea have launched new offers for Idea Kolkata users. Idea has now launched a 3G unlimited prepaid data pack which will have a validity of 30 days.

Details of the Idea 3G unlimited data plans as follows:

3GB 3G data for Rs649, post 3GB speed will be 80kbps
4GB 3G data for Rs751, post 4GB speed will be 80kbps
5GB 3G data for Rs851, post 5GB speed will be 80kbps
6GB 3G data for Rs951, post 6GB speed will be 80kbps

The packs are unlimited and are with a FUP (Fair Usage Policy)

Not bad atall. The 80kbps after using up the data sucks a bit. Reliance netconnect customers get 144kbps after they use up their data which is more then enough for simple browsing and even some amount of downloading. All service providers should atleast provide enough bandwidth for customers to atleast open a few webpages without much delay.

I have noticed that every ISP has different plans for Kolkata for some reason. I cannot understand why prices for some one should be higher if they are in Delhi or Mumbai and lower for some one in Kolkata.

These plans are good for someone who is not really going to go too much over board on the data, as Admin said the speed after FUP is rubbish.

Reliance Netconnect seems good, will have a a look at the tariff plans and if worth it then its something to consider, as I don't know of any other service provider who has a good speed as 144kbps after FUP.

Or even better go with BSNL evdo which is purely unlimited so no data usage limit
