I am not able to use my Idea 3G SIM to access net anymore!

    Default I am not able to use my Idea 3G SIM to access net anymore!

    I have been using Idea 3G SIM to go online for more than two years now without any issues. But it started showing some issues today. I use a Huawei dongle to access net through Idea 3G SIM which is not connecting now. When I use the diagnose feature of windows it tells me that I have given a wrong username and password. But I haven't used any user name and password till now. Then to check it I put it in a mobile phone and typed *125# to check the internet balance and the reply I got was "System under maintenance, please try after sometime". But this function is working with my other Idea SIM.

    I am totally confused now. I think it has something to do with the SIM because my other Idea SIM is connectable on net using the same dongle.

    Can anybody help me to overcome this issue?

    As I am understanding this issue, I think there will be an issue with the Idea systems. It's not an SIM issue rather their systems might be under maintenance. As you are saying that another SIM of yours is working fine, but this one has the issue. Keep this in mind that the Idea service provider has a lot of systems working at the same time. All of them are connected together and each sim is associated with a system. Hence, the Idea SIM taught is working fine is probably connected to a working system. While the system that manages the other SIM might be under maintenance. They will fix the issue as soon as the problem is solved.

    You don't have anything special to do for this issue. You can either call their helpline and explain them your issue. Maybe it will help you get more details about your problem.

    Thanks for the detailed answer to my query. You were right, it got resolved after sometime, say two hours or so. The sytem which takes care of that particular SIM might have been facing some issues then as explained by you. But it is the first time I am getting such an issue, may be they were updating the system.

    I have been using Idea 3G SIM in dongle (wired) for the last two years and the main issue I have been experiencing is the lack of proper network coverage in our area. In fact none of the service providers are not good there as it is somewhat a remote village.
