This is a discussion on idea gprs internet a.k.a airtel internet?? within the Idea Mobile forums, part of the Mobile phone service providers category; yes i was shocked to see my ip was based at airtel.. frnds i Whois' ed my IP in ip-adress ...

Talking idea gprs internet a.k.a airtel internet??


yes i was shocked to see my ip was based at airtel..

frnds i Whois' ed my IP in ip-adress and saw that how so my services were given by idea( some adress in mathura road delhi) but the main server was airtel...

meanwhile i also speedtest' ed and saw that it also shown my isp as bharti airtel, whereas i am an idea subscriber....hooo


shocking for me..maybe idea buys internet in "THOK KE BHAW" from airtel....thats what conclude...

Nothing wrong with that. As long as you are satisfied and getting what you are paying for, why should you worry?

Virgin Mobile offers one of the cheapest services but they do not own their own network. They just lease the circuits.

Default Idea net problem
I am using Idea net setter. When purchased they promised that it will run upto 236 kbps and for surfing mailing purpose it is good. But after operation of 15 days, I have observed that it is too slow, giving speed only 53kbps which is not sufficient even for open the first page. after trying 5-6 times I could open mailbox, reply etc. When I contacted them they told that after 11pm it will run 236 kbps but it is not true, it runs only at 53kbps even at off peak hours. I am going to close the use of Idea net setter at the end of month.
