Thread: Idea in Kolkata

very recently idea cellular has launched gsm connection in kolkata circle.it's tariff is quite cheap and looks good also.but i am wandering how it's network will be? is it good ? can anyone suggest ..it would be very helpful to me.

My general observation is - it takes some time for the new operator to settle down. Also they may not have setup enough towers to provide a good signal at all places.

Airtel is over 4 years old in MH but the coverage is still poor.

IDEA Kolkata launches , that's true ! but no official announcement ! and i found no ad of IDEA cellular over Kolkata ......

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I haven't even seen SIM cards selling in shops, except one, from where I came to know that Idea indeed has been launched here. They also have introduced per second billing, yesterday!
UPDATE:
Finally they have an advertisement, in today's Telegraph. It's about the 1p./sec billing and 40p./min billing.
