IDEA has GPRS unlimited plan of 98/month, subject to fair usage policy of 70 MB/Day. I have one question in mind, that say if i use gmail for the whole day, than how much data is consumed?

They have removed the limit now. I am from Delhi and earlier it was 68mb/day but now its 2gb per month. Please confirm from the operator.

btw: if you use gmail for the whole day, i would not suggest to go for this plan, like if you open attachments, download attachments, images etc it can easily cross it. Take no chances

Hi Neeraj

Thanx yaar for the help, I think u r right as this plan would not work. Also, 70mb/day is approximately equal to 2gb/month, so the removal of limit is just a marketing gimmick

how do you check the data usage in Maharashtra ?

Hi Few questions on IDEA GPRS

1) How to activate it? Its really sad that its not even mentioned on the website what are the tariff plans for gprs!!! Also, can someone say what is the minimum balance that one should keep for activation of gprs.

2) Will the scheme for GPRS continue even after one month of package and gets reduced from our balance?
