Towers landlords miffed at BSNL Kashmir BSNL Towers Landlords Welfare Organization today came down heavily on the authorities in BSNL accusing them of stopping the wages of the tower caretakers. The organization reiterated that it would shut down the BSNL towers from August 14.
The organization has cited two reasons for shutting down the towers: The wages of the care takers cum security guards have no been released by the BSNL from May 2006 onwards.
Second: Despite lapse of a lot of time the BSNL authorities have failed to fulfill the commitments made with the landlords, thereby leaving the problems unresolved.
However, the organization has regretted the inconvenience that shall be caused to the general public due to shutdown of the towers from August 14.
General Manager, BSNL while taking to Greater Kashmir on the issue Thursday had said: I am ready to listen to their problems. If they have genuine grievances they shall be addressed.
He however had maintained that the issue of wages was between the DHS a security agency which gives wages to the caretakers and gets reimbursements from the BSNL and the caretakers. In some cases the landlords seek wages for the people who are neither skilled nor able to do the job of care taking, the GM had said. |
