Default Virus that steals money on prowl

Russian techies are having a tough time combating a virus which primarily spreads through mobile phone OS (Symbian). The virus is so programmed to send anonymous messages to obtain information regarding bank accounts. Since mobile phone OSes is the primary platform, it can leak out to many other nations too. Hence the reason for the concern. Although touted to be released in Russia, it was recently found in some mobile phones in Indonesia too. Care is to be taken not to load anonymous symbian programs in the phone.

thats why I always prefer a basic handset.
no smart features, so not much virus to fear.
at the same time maximum talk-time (no drain on power due to smart features).

But I thought its a unwritten code not to respond to any message (e-mail/SMS or otherwise) that asks for the bank details.

i don which basic handset you have.but i made many viruses on my nokia 1600.really believe me.it spoils the messages.that you cant read them they all will be masked with smileys.i sent them to some friends via sms.the only way to get out of it was to change the texting language.
