| Amor vincit omnia | They have started intimidating the users through email and snail mail. U must be getting the same with your next Airtel broadband bill. |

Rep Power: 10 | for most of the users, this would not be applicable. and for those where it matters, they would simply shift to other ISP, most likely BSNL. so finally airtel would be the loser. |

| Amor vincit omnia | My prayer is that BSNL does not include such tactics as this in their future plans. Airtel is known to introduce such gimmicks and all other ISPs follow it. The introduction of Sandvine Bittorrent throttling is one perfect example. |

| [QUOTE=cool_techie_tvm;114923]Airtel one of the most preferred ISP in India has resorted to capping the data limits of unlimited plans. And they are citing it as Airtel Fair Usage policy. Similar schemes were made famous by Comcast in the US, which had raised much hue and cry and ultimately lead to broadband metering system in the continent. An oddity of the policy is that subscribers weren't informed about it and was first noticed by some sharp eyed users who noticed the speeds being reduced to exact half of what they had experienced the previous day. The following limits have been in place from Feb 7th : 128 kbps = 10 GB download limit per month 256 kbps = 15 GB download limit per month 384 kbps = 20 GB download limit per month 512 kbps = 25 GB download limit per month 1 Mbps = 150 GB download limit per month Cur the Crap. I have 512 unlimited (night 1mbps) and my download exceeded 100 GB last month. I didn't observe any decrease in speed.. its all fake! ------- Your Gateway to Technology, Redefined.
