I have used 3g phones and they are crap to be very honest
video calls? they suck blood at 50pence a min atleast i cant afford it.
I have used motorola 920 and lg 3g phones they are both cool but its just the hype
I have now got a t-mobile data card which i use with my laptop and trust me I have never felt the need of all this 3g crap![]()
bhai.... the data card which u talking abt i dont think its there in my place....
and T-Mobile doesnt exist in india i suppose...
about the N series... i dont think its that gr8 from my opinioin... coz i use my mp3 player for songs and handy cam for the pics... and phone for the use of phone... for rest of it there is net always... so if its launched or not launched its not a big thing for me..... Just want some one to come out with a phone which catches the frequency to the max. if i am in the busy part of the town or far of... some of these phones dont catch the rays even if my friend near me has the connection..... its damm irritating...
the only thing i ever use on my phone is the green button and the red button
a phone is meant for making and reciving phone calls you are right.
airtel and hutch offer data cards and you can connect anywhere in delhi and I plan to use it when i come to delhi latter this year![]()
Just got a news on VODAFONE so thought of sharing....
LONDON (Reuters) - British mobile phone company Vodafone Plc is set to announce it will sell own-brand low-cost 3G handsets from October, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.
Huawei Technologies, China's largest telecoms equipment maker, will supply the handsets, the source told Reuters, adding the deal would allow Vodafone to have the handsets customized for its specific services.
The handsets will be available in all Vodafone's major markets on both contract and prepay tariffs.
The source did not give details of the size and value of Vodafone's contract with Huawei.
T-mobile dsnt exist in india.
Bband isnt functioning properly n we r dreaming of 3G in India... ha
I agree broadband scene is a bit crap at the moment in India but things are going to change in a way you would have never imagined. Its all about competition
Vodafone holds a big stake in Airtel and anything Vodafone does has a little if not big impact on Airtel's advances and policies.
3G is unnecesary crap and believe me people dont use it here in UK it did create a lot of hype back in 2003-2004 when I paid a fortune to get hold of this brick size motorola a920 and the prices of 3g phones since then have come down a lot and now they cost less then the normal gsm phones.
Who watches a song clip on a phone? or uses video calls? not me atleast and neither do any of my friends but we all did use it a few times when we all got these useless 3g phones 2 years ago and called each other just to check it out and found the video quality to be crap.
Internet connectivity using 3g? its more or less the same speed as gprs.
what else are you looking forward to from 3g launch in India?

In india better voice quality can be provided at low costs with 3G in rural areas.
So what is 3G all about?
3G is a mix of exciting services and cheaper and better voice calls...
