Broadband to be 100 times faster-Health/Science-The Times of India

When the said technology come in to market the broadband speed is going to be 100 times faster than the existing ones. That is going to be above 100MBps!!! Exciting stuff, right? Probably going to take another 10 years before the technology reaches India.

Well i dont think that 100 Mbps would be that much fast but i think that we would have some 10 mbps lines in residential area for real prices very soon.

No matter when it would happen the main thing is that our lifes from then onward would be very much nice. I would wait for those times when i would download a 700 MB movie in 10 second.

Default 100Mbit/s How to

If the ISP will put a Fibre Channel Ring around a specific Area the 100Mbit/s will be possible. It wont cost more then 125.000$ for each 10 square kilometer.

Iam sure the Provider will get an ROI (Return of Investment) within 1 Year. when he offers a 100Mbit/s Flatrate

We use a 100Mbit/s Flat for 49,90 €

Wow, great to hear that and looking forward to such speeds at least in the near future. I cannot even imagine how fast the websites will load with that speed. Will the website pages will work like the normal explorer of windows or what!

Sometimes they work like the IExplorer, but dont forget it depends always on how fast the Server is the websites are coming from

So if you have a 100Mbit/s and the content you are watching is on a Server with a 10Mbit/s connection you wont get more then 8-10Mbit/s

greets

Well there is one more point. We do not get 1:1 connection in India for normal use. What we get it 1:8 connection which means that from 256 kbps connection we would get around 30 -32 kbps download speed and as of the 100 mbps broadband for normal use i cant think of this one in near future.

Cranking you are right on this one. I also don't think that we would see 100 mbps line in next 5 years in out country.
