Default Cell phone companies need to simplify charges

Yes. They should do it. Cell phone companies need to simplify charges. Now it is almost like a puzzle to understand how much it costs to make a phone call. There is a prize for the phone. Then another one for the sim card. Then comes service charge. And finally top up minutes. In USA and all, you just sign up for the service and decide the plan you want like $29, $39, $49 etc. whatever you plan to have and you get the service and phone and sim for free. You pay the chosen amount $29, $39, $49 etc.(only one of them) at the end of the month when you receive the bill. No other charge at all.

I would say that the basic difference is of the law working. In US court are responsible and orders what is right as per according to the case but in india thing are different as our courts are not thaat much responsible and they decides the case as per according to them.

Yup, You are right on this. In European countries courts are much responsible and faster as compared to indian courts were it sometimes takes even 5 years to get a consumer case decided.

Leave the courts you are not going to get any thing from them. The basic thing is that right now we would not have these kind of packages in India in near future.

Hidden charges is the middle name of Cell phone companies in India! Sometimes, i wonder why I end up paying huge bills for my mobile phone even on the months I have not used it at all. TRAI should bring up very strict rules to curb such exploitation of customers in the name of various hidden charges.

I do not think that there are any hidden charges in services from good companies. I had used Spice, Airtel and BSNL and i would say that i had paid what i had used and nothing much more. So from my point they are billing you exactly what they are offering you.
