Rep Power: 2 | Well you need update your antivirus regularly and also you should have the best antivirus for which i would recommend (Norton Antivirus, Kaspersky or McAfee which are the best) and another thing i would like to recommend you is that you should not install those softwares which are not reliable as sometimes you can get infected by spywares from these too. |

These should be avoided at all costs unless they are from known sources such as Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Also avoid BHOs (Browser Helper Objects) such as search toolbars, etc. All these not only hog memory but contain malware, adware, spyware, which may or not be detected. I would also recommend to get the latest windows priority updates.

Rep Power: 2 | You can install good Anitvirus such as Norton, McAfee and then you should not download or visit those sites which you think are not safe and third thing is to keep your computer updated which is the best way to protect your pc. |

Rep Power: 2 | You need to install a firewall for your pc if you are using internet! I would definitely suggest the zone alarm personal firewall which is free to download and use. Or else you can try sygate firewall which is also equally good. |
