| Music2You: Hutch, Siemens and music download on mobile phones Hutch customers would now be able to download full-length songs on their Siemens mobile phones. The two companies announced an agreement as per which Siemens get access to Hutch’s Music2You technology. Mobile users would be able to preview and then download the songs on their mobile handsets. This move would mean that the mobile service providers would now setup download services for the consumers to purchase songs legally and get them on their mobile phones. The release from the two companies said: “The selection of music offerings will comprise titles from a variety of major labels, including local content providers.” The cost of downloading the music would be added onto the mobile bill of the customer making it easier for him to purchase songs using mobile phones. Hutchison Essar Chief marketing Officer Naveen Chopra added on this initiative: “This technology will help Hutch customers to download full songs of good sound quality at a faster speed.” Now, the more interesting aspect of this news is that how many customers do have Siemens mobile phones in India? |
