Reliance collaborates with Intel to expand services in India

Reliance Communications and Intel are collaborating with each other with the aim to provide instant and uninterrupted internet connectivity with Intel-powered PCs in the smaller cities in India where there is a lot of potential to grow.

The two companies would benefit from each others network already available in the region. For the start, Reliance would be purchasing systems from genuine Intel dealers (GIDS) in 11 cities/towns of Karnataka and offer them with Reliance wireless products to enable people to access internet.

This program would be expanded through out the country in the coming months. Reliance has a pan-India CDMA2000 1x Network which enables them to provide anytime, anywhere, high-speed internet connectivity on PCs, laptops and other computing devices.

Managing director, sales and marketing, Intel (South Asia), John McClure spoke on this initiative: “Our collaboration with reliance would enable uninterrupted high speed internet connectivity at very affordable rates through our wide channel partner network.”
