Is there any website which gives the daily sensex value(history). I am interest to know what was sensex value at 3 PM for last one year. (as all mutual funds calculations done based upon sensex value at 3 pm)

You will get all historical information on moneycontrol.com and such sites. But the historical information is for the end of the day value. No website will give info on what certain stock/MF value was on a certain date at a certain time. EOD figures only.

Knowing the current situation of the stock market is crucial especially if you have stocks invested in it. It is better to be up to dated to the situations so that you could know the actions to be taken if some changes in the stock market occur as to secure your stocks to lose. Today, the stock market is unstable so we need to be vigilant to the current market conditions.

    Hi,
I am planning to invest in gold ETF. I have one doubt.. Every where i have seen bench mark is London gold rate. I mean i though that during deewali/ navratra gold rate increased in india, so it is better to buy now.
I want to know is gold rate india and London always similar or may be different .

How can We purchase gold ETF?, without having de-mat a/c. Like for other MF we need online access of sbimf or reliance like that. Or can we send application directly?

ETF or Exchange Traded Funds are securities that are traded as stocks on the stock exchanges. ETFs technically are not the mutual funds even though they are mostly floated by Mutual Fund managers, since they offer the advantages of being traded as stocks.

Launched in 2007, Gold ETFs in India are managed by six fund houses including Benchmark Asset Management, UTI Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, Reliance Capital Asset Management, Quantum Mutual Fund and the State Bank of India. The major advantage of Gold ETF over conventional purchase of Gold is the ease of holding and ease of liquidity. While Gold Coins sold by the Banks with much fanfare are not accepted for repurchase by the same very Banks, ETF can be sold at the click of a button.

A demat account is a must for investing in almost every exchange traded fund. If you already are investing in stocks, and have a demat account, it can be used for exchange traded fund units, too. No demat account? Open one, but check on the applicable charges for the Account first. Look for a demat account that does not ask for annual maintenance charges (or has minimal annual charges) or one that waives account opening fee. You can also find a demat account that levies a flat fee or imposes brokerage fee only on volume traded. Also verify that the Account provides ease of access/transaction.
