    Default folio in mutual funds

What is the difference/ benefits/drawbacks for purchasing different mutual funds for same fund house under same folio no or different folio no.

A fund house runs many schemes.

If you purchase units for different schemes, the folio number will be different. There is no "if's and but's" (or pros and cons) about it.

If you purhcase units of the same fund, then it is possible that folio number could vary if you purchased from different brokers, etc. But keeping the folio number same will greatly simplify things for administrative purposes. Other than that there is no disadvantage. Try to keep it (the folio number) the same.
