Thread: Want to Open a new Bank Account! ICICI or HDFC?

i am a banker by profession...as far as i see it...there is no good or bad bank...it depends on

1. Location
2. Staff

Also whichever bank u may like to open an account please check the conditions for opening a/c's since though the basic rules as per RBI guidelines are same for all...some banks also have promotional a/c's.

Also go with a nationalised bank preferably...these banks are on par with pvt/foreign banks w.r.t facilities.

Some Rules have been changed to deduct service charges EVERY MONTH, if minimum monthly balance is not maintained in your S/B account.
When you close your account also service charges to be paid.
No idea about Private banks.

PSU banks also make money now in the name of Service charges.
Earlier signature was attested FREE,. now you have to pay Rs 20/=
for each attestation !

You can open account in HDFC. Because in HDFC the schemes are best. & the intrest is also good. Your amount will not get deducated.You have misunderstanding about this topic
