Default Motilal Oswal MOSt Shares M50 ETF NFO!

Motilal Oswal MOST Shares M50 combines the benefit of mutual fund scheme with convenience of trading like a share!

A fund that offers both active investing feature such as high capital allocation to companies which have strong fundamentals at cheap valuations along with index investing features such as pre-defined investment rules, no fund manager discretion and low costs

Stay away from any NFO - that is what I will advise everyone.

It does not matter who the promoter is, who is the fund manager, what is the asset allocation/portfolio, etc.

Invest money in well proven established funds with a good track record of at least 3 years. Especially check how they performed during the slump and how much they were able to recover.

If you are looking to invest in funds, have a look at the following funds:

    IDFC Premier Equity - A (G)
    HDFC Equity Fund (G)
    Sundaram Select Midcap -RP (G)
    Birla Sun life Midcap - A (G)
    Franklin India Prima Fund (G)
    SBI Magnum Multiplier Plus (G)

    ... and a few others.

Don't invest because I am telling you. Check the performance of the above funds and then decide.

Also, invest in funds only via SIP. The market is slightly high at the moment - in my opinion the market will usually fluctuate between 7000 and 22000 for the next three years. Of course, I am not a marker whiz kid.

I would like to add a few :

    ICICI discovery fund
HDFC TOP 200 (For long term gains that maximize in a bull market)
Reliance Growth fund ( Good fund which in my opinion gets a lot of insider news)
Canara Robeco Infra fund (Extremely good portfolio)

As Just4kix already mentioned, SIP is the way to go instead of making large investments at once.

I personally do not have any fund with growth option apart from HDFC top 200 and IDFC premier because I like to invest in equities myself and use the money I get out of dividends from Mutual funds to invest into beaten to death stocks as my risk appetite increases that way and I only invest in say 5-8 stocks at one time.
