What are the guidliness to follow if you are going to buy a laptop?

I saw a lot of small and inexpensive laptops are released on the market now a days. Are they better?

If one is purely going to use a laptop for surfing the web, one is better off buying small inexpensive laptops like the Asus eee pc, Acer Aspire One, Dell Inspiron Mini 9, MSI Wind. Keep in mind they dont hav an optical drive. The harddisk capacity is small around 16 GB as it is flash or SSD but some provide 80 GB. I recommend Dell. A regular laptop shud hav a Intel Centrino 2 processor, 2 Gb ram and a 9 cell battery.

Depends on what you want the laptop for. If you're want a multimedia laptop, then those inexpensive newcomers wont do. On the other hand, you might just need one for surfing the web or doing some basic chores like writing emails, in which case you won't need a high configuration, and those laptops you're talking about may just do it for you.

Laptops basically come in different styles and to meet different needs. There are sophisticated ones with crystal screens that are expensive and then there are cheaper versions on the market. I always went for the cheaper versions because I need just to check e-mail and surf. However, if it is for business you may want to spend a bit more for the extra features.

You may notice that laptop screens have grown to be more sophisticated and also larger. It all depends on your needs.

I recently have bought an HP Pavilion only to find out that this brand has major issues going wireless. If you check the internet you will get pages and pages of people having this issue.

If you are going to use it for office work like Word, excel, etc then i suggest you to get like around 20 to 28 but if you are going to use it for internet and other purpose i suggest to get like from price range around 30 to 40 or if you are a gamer get DELL xps series.
