Rep Power: 1 | If you are looking for an Acer Laptop, which is worth every single penny you spend then the Acer Travelmate 8100 is what you should choose. The Acer TravelMate 8100 offers lots of advantages over the other laptops by the same brand. The laptop weighs around 6.4 pounds which also includes an integrated DVD writer. Another wonderful thing about the laptop is its large 15.4-inch wide-screen that makes it easy to work side by side on documents. The screen has a native 1680-by-1050-pixel resolution which makes the appearance of the screen elements crisp yet easily readable. The 8100 has two RAM slots, and the hard drive is also placed nearby in a compartment in the bottom. The 8100 also has an incredible battery that gets off from the rear, not from the bottom bay. This is another small but significant feature. The laptop also has an ergonomic keyboard that has a 5 degree curve upward on the ends. This helps to position the elbow in a way to avoid the carpal tunnel syndrome. The keyboard has cute small keys. The keys have a depression of 2.7-millimeter rather than the normal 3mm. There also is a set of four shortcut buttons that are very user friendly. The laptop also has a proprietary power management utility which when used makes it very easy to customize the power schemes. It also helps to check whether the FireWire port and the wireless scanning is working or not. The laptop also has Acer's GridVista feature that lets you drag and drop applications into the preset windows on the laptop’s wide screen. This is an exciting feature. The fact remains that the Travelmate 8100 is an Acer laptop that is worth every single penny spent on buying it. So waste no more time and go for it. |
