Acer TravelMate is a popular series of Acer Laptop computers. The series is manufactured and marketed by Acer. Out of all the notebooks Acer has always come up with it is one of the best. The TravelMate is considered to be a business as well as professional laptop computer. TravelMate was not the first choice of a name for this range of laptops. This is because earlier, the TravelMate was a name used by Texas Instruments.

There are various models under the TravelMate Series. They have some standard features like; a Wireless Ethernet adapter and a normal Ethernet adapter, one PC Card slot. The various models include USB 2.0 ports, an efficient optical drive, and 1 VGA port.

The Acer TravelMate laptops run on the Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista operating systems some of the Acer TravelMate laptop models come with a web cam and bundled software. The software allows the users some manipulation of a CD’s data. The software also helps in proper operation of the included web cam, as well as proper organization of windows. The software has been designed to allow a safe, comfortable and practical use of the Acer TravelMate notebooks.

Some of the recent Acer TravelMate laptop models have been technically upgraded. The latest technical advancement in the laptops has been the dual core processors that work at double speed and rive a far better performance. Some other forms of advancements have also been made in the latest Acer TravelMate laptop models. The latest models now include a 50 in 1 card reader, which provides a flexibility of use. The models include a large hard drive with lots of space. Also a lot of memory (RAM) has been introduced.
This along with the new processor has made the laptop an amazingly fast computer.

Acer Travelmate series are famous for their robustness... Though the looks might not be great for a normal user... But as mentioned, these are business class laptops...

For home users Acer's Aspire series has launched many models... Some of them have new Gemstone design which looks awesome... And they are bundled with many entertainment and multimedia features!

I don't know which audio system acer incorporates in its laptop... but its powerful and louder than any other brand I've seen...
