Rep Power: 13 | There are large numbers of laptop brands fighting for the domination of the notebook computer market. The experts have divided them into four tiers or four stages. The first tier includes brands like Sony and Lenovo. In the second tier the brands like, Dell and Apple and included. The third Tier has brands like, Gateway, NEC, Fujitsu, Philips, Panasonic, Toshiba and Sharp. Finally in the fourth tier, one can find the Asus, BenQ and the Acer brands. Each one of these brands is considered to be the best by the brand’s respective fan base. The choice of the best laptop brand largely depends upon your requirements and the part of the world where you are located. Brands like Lenovo and Sony are known to have the best battery, build quality and reliability. Still they are not preferred by many because of their inordinately high prices. These brands are actually considered to be the high end laptop models in the market. Brands like Dell and Toshiba also have some high-end models that they offer under this category. For people who are into the profession of graphic designing, video and music editing consider Apple laptops to be the best. The only problem is that the brand has limited native software options. It also presents some assailable interoperability issues when it comes to using it for more than the normal personal use. Apple scores on the design front which is much better than the other brands outside the Asian continent. Some other players have also emerged as popular models in the laptop market. They are considered to be the best because of their quality and the Linux alternatives offered by them. Deciding the best laptop brand comes to the choice of form factor, functionality and reliability.

Rep Power: 2 | Asus E1000h-The screen is uniformly lit and viewing angles are good. A brightness setting of around 30% is sufficient to perform most regular tasks. A 1.3Mp webcam with the inbuilt digital array microphone at the bottom. The picture quality is average and comparable to most basic laptop webcams. This comes with a now standard Atom 1.6Ghz processor, 1Gb DDR2 RAM and a roomy 160Gb HDD. For 24k this is a great bargain. |

Rep Power: 3 | Well there can be just a single category that can decide which is the best brand. Its the performance and customization category. Dell gives us what we want. Where as others give what they provide us with.I mean we have to choose for machines from brands other than DELL and not customize. But with DELL we can customize. I feel DELL is the best. |

Rep Power: 2 | i'd recommend Dell for a customised gaming rig Compaq for a simple no frill home laptop I really wouldn't recommend a Mac for anything, it can't do anything any other pc can't do and the prices are definitely mega inflated, the hardware actually costs a qaurter, you pay half for the shiny apple printed on it |

Rep Power: 10 | Theres nothing like a "one size fits all" when it comes to laptops. Different brands are better in different segments. First the basic requirements must be decided like Budget Intended use Intended user and his abilities & age Amount of travelling with laptop required Expected time-frame by which to go for replacement etc. e.g. someone who needs extensive travelling may sacrifice some performance in favour of lesser weight. Only after those factors have been decided one should go for the brand decision. |
