Rep Power: 2  |  Go For HP ( I know HP and compaq are same. But HP is premium brand and compaq is the economy range.) Dell is also offering good configuration at lower rates but dont know about their service network. I personally Like HP as i am using HP pavillion Notebook DV6345 |

Rep Power: 0 | Look for better service at your location. There are many things you need to consider before buying a laptop. Read tech reviews. I can not say a brand is A-1. It is a matter of your budget and your requirement. At this time HP. Compaq, Lenova, Toshiba, Sony, Acer, Dell all are good. |

| well ... i didnt notice this thread earlier ... even i have been planning to buy a laptop for some days and did some research ... if you really want to buy some quality value for money product i will always recommend DELL or Lenovo ... if you want some very high configuration laptops cheaply - then HCL is an option but HCL after sales service is really pathetic... a simple googling with HCL laptop problems/complaints will be evident. if you want to know the estimated price of any laptop available in market ... plz post ... i have collected the price lists of all models of most brands recently from some shops in my city ... |
