Thread: strange problem while instaling window in

i just broght Lenovo laptop G430, model 4153AEQ with dos OS
i install xp sp2 but after one week virus damage my window,
now when i try to install window it stop
(press any key to boot from cd) i press inter
setup is inspecting your hardwere configeration
suddenly secreen turn blank/black nothing heppen nothing only black secreen

i try many cd's even orignal window xp cd still same problem i chk on bios there is no option to disable sata native support (as others)

but window vista is instaling with out any problem, pleasee any solution

restore the bios defaults and format the HDD totally and clear the MBR ... it should work...

u u need sata driver buddy , new ich9 chips are not supported by xp sp2

do this either get a sp3 cd or make a sp2 sata driver disk via slipstreaming the ich9 sata driver, google u ll get the links , it happened to me as well.

and after installing xp sp2 make sure use install sp3 patch on a clean install even before drivers, this makes it stable

trust me i installed xp on my laptop 25 times in 2 weeks

and i aslo suggust u install two xp, other as backup on diffent drive

i try your procuder even i download xp3 with sata driver but result is same,
only one line (setup is inspecting ur computer dardwere configeration) then blank/black secreen

there can be many reasons why its not working...

* dead HDD (it happened for me in a 7 day old drive)
* u installed linux and did not format properly
* u have enable sata in BIOS.

PS: try this google search to see various solutions.

check this in the bios, c if the hdd is being detected or not, :thumbup1:

harddisk is detected and even vista instaled without any prolem,only problem with xp.

problem solved
Lenovo care change my harddisk and motherboard
they said that problem was with hdd and board.
