Rep Power: 12 | I need a laptop for carrying around and showing presentations and just checking mails and browsing a few websites some times... I dont need a very powerfull machine because all I want it for is to keep in touch on the go and for presentations and all that stuff. Its time to retire my almost 4 kilogram packard bell which has a lousy dull screen... I need a very light laptop with a fairly good battery backup. Any suggestions are welcome. |

Rep Power: 12 | Thanks for the suggestion but this laptop only has a battery life of two hours something... I would rather go for something which lasts more then 5-6 hours. |

| You can go for "Battery extender".. Acer claim to have 8 hour battery life. but it hardly last for 3 hours (My room-mate use it)... Only MAC has positive review regarding Battery, but again confirm it with some user.. Also there was some IBM machine which claims 12 hours battery life...Lemme just google it.. |

Rep Power: 10 | Yeah... Thats true... But I've seen Dell giving better battery back-ups than other brands... And I would go anyday for Dell if I'm ever gonna purchase a business laptop! |

| Gold Member | ^^ what maddy said is true 100% true. If u need business class laptop Dell is best. I have seen many corporates normally go for Dell. Battery bakup is superb. I myself after handling almost all of the recognised brands in market, seen that Dell battery has gr8 backup. lastly u get service at ur door. if ur requirement is 5-6 hrs, then u better buy 9cell Li-ion |

| Junior Member | I think you all guys forgot about the Lenovo business laptop it is the most ruggedized laptop ever built(the thinkpad series) Lenovo ThinkPad T400: The Lenovo ThinkPad T400 uses magnesium metals in its frame and a carbon fiber roll-cage—a metallic inner skeleton that protects the internal parts from potential harm. Also you can look for the Dell Latitude E6400 and the HP EliteBook 6930p |
