Oh my mistake then, because i was looking at it on a site the other week, and it said there is no CD drive, but it must have been a different model!

Well in that case, i suppose there is nothing wrong with it then, and being Sony its quite good quality, but i cant say anything about their laptops, as I havent use a Song laptop before or dont know of anyone who has!

If anyone has used Sony laptops, how reliable are they, and did they face any major problems during the time they used it?

One of my friend in States used VAIO couple of years(or more) back... He never used to shut it down... And it burnt with fumes coming out of it... But ofcourse that is the only negative instance I have ever heard about VAIO...

Oh got thats bad, but then again leaving it on all the time, i suppose its not for using for long hours, maybe 2-3 hours a day or best for whenever travelling!

Well i guess i will end up buying Vaio and will be the first to post the review here... he he he....

ok i posted something in this thread mentioning that the VAIO doesn't have a CD drive, and you guys corrected me saying it does, when a few weeks ago i went to a Sony shop and asked them about the VAIO and they told me that none of their VAIO laptops have a CD drive???????????????????????

Are you sure by CD drive they were referring to DVD drive/writer as well?

Hey preeti.... i beg to differ again .... i own a Sony VAIO CS series now and it do have a CD drive and it works fine too ...... May be the sales rep whom u visited is a trainee or a novice ......
