Rep Power: 1 | No offense, just putting my thought.... don't you think 13" monitor is really small..... well i feel atleast 14" screen size is preferable....... Well try having a look at Dell Inspiron 15 Laptops.. they have good config in that for ur budget range...... here are the details: Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop Details P.S: The price mentioned in the link is excluding taxes. Taxes will come upto 3-4K. |

Rep Power: 1 | True bro.. the smaller it is, the better it is in many ways.... but not always.... too small sometime is not acceptable.... i mean look at the guys's requirement.. he watches movie and all... watching movies in a 13" screen would be really irritating, don't you think??? Well i have just put down my thoughts...... no offense. |

| Platinum Member | No offence taken. Even for movies, I feel that is OK. I sometimes watch movies on my Philips portable DVD player. What I agree with is, if someone just needs to watch movies, then no need to buy an expensive model. |

Rep Power: 1 | @hello85m Inspiron is the largest selling Dell computers in India and outside. You should consider that. XPS is expensive i presume. Well, their site gives you all the details that you need. Check here: Dell Laptops/ Notebooks - Home & Home Office |

| Junior Member | Hey Boss I would recommend u going for a different laptop instead of DELL inspiron...though its a great laptop but if u r more into watching movies and stuff then DELL is not the right choice. I am a loyal DELL user but still i would like to advise that DELL has low sound quality and it is basically a robust laptop used in business. For Entertainment purpose I would suggest you to go in for HP which have the best sound quality or else you can go in for DELL 1410(33K) which has good sound and good screen quality too if u r inclined towards DELL. But still DELL cannot be at par with HP in terms of entertainment quality. And u can easily get one good HP laptop in 30-45K. If you are working in a MNC company then u can get a corporate discount too (5-10%). |

| Platinum Member | i want to add something here.according to DIGIT(india's no.1 tech/computer magazine both as per data & my opinion)in this month's edition has a very disturbing article about HP-Compaq after sales service & lots of failures reported in their laptops.i have personally seen 3-4 of my friends compaq & HP laptops go bad within 1 year of their purchase.my suggestion is for the time being stay away from HP & get dell studio(my brother has just bought 1).as for sound dell provides creative EP630 in-ear earphone free(market pricet Rs.800 but best in sound quality & even come very close to much expensive Rs.2900 sanheiser earphones).forget about expecting good sound from any laptop onboard speakers as you will get much better sound using external speakers or earphones.also dell studio range is with LED LCD screen(better than traditional WXGA/bright screens or CCFL screens used in dell inspiron series).these LED LCD screens provide better colours & viewing angles compared to older LCD screens & also better battery backup as these are less power consuming.these LED screens are even thinner than traditional LCD screens. |

| Platinum Member | just checked out HP latops on their website & my only conclusion is DON'T BUY HP.their laptops have lower configuration for the same price as dell laptops.further you can get an ATI Radeon HD4570 mobile graphics card for Rs.2600 extra so for Rs.45000 you will get a core2duo t6400 processor with 320gb hard disc & 3gb ram with 256mb graphics card which is a much better deal compared to HP.my brother has got this same configuration on studio 15 laptop & it's great.while with HP even after spending Rs.49000 plus you will get only 512mb nVidia 9200mGS which is not even equal to HD4570. Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion - View Single Post - GPU-Z for nVidia's latest mobile GPUs? according to this link HD4570 is equivalent or better than 9400MGS.
