i have HCL laptop


i m faceing a problem with Fn key

when i press Fn key then keys{Fn keys} work
may be Fn keys lock

so anyone tell me what to do

Your post is not clear to me. Plz elaborate.

when i press Fn key then i can use letters like {u,v,h,j} etc. otherwise i only type numbers like {6,4,5,8}

If you press Fn Key the fn key will work.. What's strange in that? Or you wanna say when you press Fn key it doesn't work, Then which key you're pressing and in which application?

that has nothing to do with Fn key. You have turned on Num Lock on your Laptop. Laptops dont have separate Numpad.

Hold Shift and Press Num Lock. Your problem will be solved.

my problem is when i not press Fn key my keys not working

If holding above keys won't solve the problem then try different combinations..

Fn + Shift +Numlk
Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Numlk

oops. I checked. For HCL laptops:- Fn + Num Lock will turn Num lock on/off.

In my IBM laptop:- It is Shift + Num Lock
