Thread: Which is better Dell Studio 15 or VAIO CS VGN-CS36GJ/Q or HP Pavilion DV6 1154tx

Hi Everybody,

I wish to purchase a laptop based on centrino 2 platform. I have shortlisted 3 options Dell Studio 15 or VAIO CS VGN-CS36GJ/Q or HP Pavilion DV6 1154tx

All of them are now available in indian market.

I am not sure which will be better overall, in term of heavy duty apps like 3D Studio Max / games like Quake 3, AOE III and future servicability

Please suggest which is the best, or any other laptop better then these with same config with similar price.

HP Pavilion DV6-1154TX - Price: Rs. 64,990.00 (excluding tax)

Pros: Good Config, Excellent quality Audio, HP Product
Cons: No OS disc only drecovery disk available, after sales service is very bad [Based on comments/reviews from web forums]


Dell Studio 15 (1545) (Customized) - Price: Rs. 55,902.00 (excluding tax)
----------------------------------

Pros: Highly customizable, Dell Product
Cons: No Leds, Slot based DVD Drive, Speakers are not good, Heats up a lot [Based on comments/reviews from web forums

For the HP DV6, u should ASK for a OS disk, which u will get for free.Also, after sales service depends a lot on where u stay. In places like bangalore, its pretty good.

Its a gr8 laptop, go for it if u got the money.

there is another decent DV6. Its the DV6 1152TX. Its about Rs 54,000.
The difference is only the processor, u get a T6400 instead of a P8600. Rest is same config.

Well, if your going for dell, get the XPS line, its worth it!! Sony is always expensive for the laptop of same config, but SONY has its value though, HP is good for looks thats all!!

for 60000 & above go with DELL XPS range.
