    Thanks Aditya for you reply. I did check the DPI setting and it's 96. How to check if the problem is due to moisture?

    that would be the best thing to do as i don't think its an error with settings or software.
    Its not advised to mess or play around with hardware of branded laptops.

    Please specify the model # of the Notebook and Operating System.

    Since when is the display blurry? Is there any visible physical damage on the screen? Did you install any software recently?

    Tip :

    1. Check whether the display is in its native resolution. If not, set the display in native resolution. You can know the native resolution of the Notebook from the user manual.

    2. Reinstall the video driver. Check whether any updated drivers are there to download on the manufacturer's website.

    Hey nandini, have enabled cleartype, without that your screen can appear blurred !

    for XP:

    Right click on desktop > properties > Appearance > Effects > 2nd option

    Click on it and select clear type

    @itsmemad
    1. I am using Dell Inspiron 1525 with vista OS.
    2. Yes. Recently I installed ubuntu OS.
    3.There's no any visible damage to the screen.

    I guess it's due to moisture,as Aditya had guessed. Can't say anything for sure.

    @newprouser
    display setting is good.

    @Luke
    Do you even know what you are blubbering? Well I don't have any clue wat you are talking man and neither do I care so...stay away please.

    PS: I don't think it's software problem. Because even when I use ubuntu I am getting the same problem.

    I'm sorry to hear that. Better you give it to the service center guys. It seems the display has gone kaboom. :48:
