    Default "unable to load scanapi.dll"

    while my laptop starts,at the logon screen i found this msg box showing "unable to load scanapi.dll".......by clicking ok i can proceed further.....
    how to resolve this problem...plz suggest.......
    i think this comes from scanner folder.......plz suggest the remedy.....
    at the startup only the antivirus program is enabled.......

    Which Operating System, Antivirus, Laptop model?

    Are you using a software for some scanner in the Laptop too?

    How long have you been getting this error message?

    Something to do with Bar code reader.
    See in Windows Scanners directory.

    Details.
    scanapi.dll is a ScanAPI\r belonging to Socket Communication ScanAPI\r from Socket Communication Inc.\r

    i've already read the answer(yahoo answers)....but should i opt for it.....plz suggest......
