What tests would you exactly want to see. How do you want me to test sound. It would be totally subjective right ? I will probably see some movies(names that you can recommend), play some games(you can recommend) and take loads of pics. I will include 3Dmark vantage also. Are there any tools to test battery life ??

are laptops really suitable for gaming? I always thought that when it comes to gaming laptops are a bad idea and its better to go for a desktop

There are gaming laptops available to purchase. They come with nifty configuration and demand high price. Last year I saw a gaming laptop's review from Asus which was priced at Rs. 1.5 lakhs. The design and color (red and black mixed) was excellent.

Advantage is still with Desktops because of the low cost and you can upgrade them according to the future games requirement.

I found a cool website to check if your Computer meets the minimum requirement for a particular game. Check it out.

can't u guys read the OP (original post)?? sheesh...he's not asking WHICH laptops are best for gaming, he's asking which tests we'd like to see performed.

I'm not much of a sound guy, so my preference is graphics:

1. 3D Mark and all its related tests.
2. Overclocking of graphics card possible? If so, what freqs. and related performance?

Sound:
Like i said, i dunno much about sound....just check if sound ports are SP/DIF compatible and whether they can output 5.1 to 7.1 sound channels.

thats all, tyvm. which models are u getting??
