Thread: Eco-Friendly Laptop

Fujitsu Company has come out with another innovative design of Laptop with corn-based polymer. Its main component is polylactic acid or PLA. It is a resin that produced from fermentation of raw biomass from plants. PLA is degradable and hence an eco-friendly product. It does not generate dioxin or other harmful gases on burning. It has only one disadvantage, i.e., some of its eco-friendly benefits are offset due to moulding of the material in order to incorporate the electronic components of the laptop. But apart from all these variations and incorporation's, the principle behind the usage of corn-based components for manufacturing laptop is the same, its eco-friendly nature and fully degradable quality. An altogether innovative and green product.

But if the moulding of the product comes at a cost to the environment, how can they possibly sell it as an eco friendly product?

Something is better than nothing.
