There are many disadvantages to Laptops too. Like they are very compact and so some of the latest technology that gets developed for desktops cannot be made into thinner and smaller forms. So these technologies cannot be fitted into laptops very successfully. This makes laptops a little behind desktops in terms of capability and efficiency. The manufacturers are trying their best to find solution to such situations and problem but it will take some time. Then one also has to get used to using a mouse pad as we all are used to using a mouse. There are many who attach mouse to the laptops for convenience but this builds up to portability issues.
