    Default Tutorial: How to connect Laptop to TV.

    Do you like watching movies on laptop sitting on bed??
    Well i don't.

    The laptop screen is not enough to enjoy the movie.

    Have you ever thought of connecting your laptop to television???

    Well i do!

    There are no steps but there are different ways to do so.

    Things u require:
    A Digital Television
    A Laptop
    One of the following cables

    For Video:
    1) You can connect your laptop to Television by connecting the VGA cables that comes with your computer monitor.Most Laptops have the VGA-to-VGA port.Looks like this:



    2) You can also also connect your laptop to TV by using HDMI-to-HDMI cable.This cable gives very good quality picture.New Laptops have this port.
    Look like this:


    3) If u don't have HDMI port in Laptop but have the HDMI port in TV then use VGA-to-HDMI cable.Looks like this:


    For Audio:

    If u want audio too in ur TV then use the following cable.its easily available:

    Learnt something from this post. Thanks Imrok for sharing.I have HDMI port both on laptop & TV. Will try to connect in free time.

    nice stuff mate, would have been nice if you could have explained the settings used for dual monitor setup itself. If we just connect it, we don't get the display. We need to do the setting. You could start a new thread for that and link the two
    Do it for different OSes (XP, W7, Vista, Linux)
