Laptop Screening at Airports a Problem and How to Tackle the Issue
Last time you missed the flight because the airport officials found something suspicious on your laptop and they engaged in manual checking in your laptop. This is not complaint of yours; there are thousands of people who suffer from such strict screening of devices in the airports post 9/11. With the events after September 11 the airport security became stricter and they don’t leave a single unturned to check each and every passenger properly. Your computer laptops are not excusable.
Why they Screen Laptops?

Today the world of terrorism doesn’t exist only with the use of one gun or some other such devices. They have become tech savvy and can use the blue-tooth or wi-fi system of laptops to detonate bombs or explosives. And the laptops have some parts which if not inactivated before entering the plane can interfere with the signals that pilots receive for effective communication in the ground.
How to deal with the laptop screening in airports?
Instead of being rude and restless be cordial and pass a smile when an officer asks you to go for manual check. This creates a good impression and they like your cordial and cooperative nature. If you become restless and show anger, they would become suspicious and check the laptops thoroughly thus taking lot of time.
Always inactive features like Bluetooth, wi-fi and other such connectivity devices in your laptop before you enter airport. Keeping your laptop neutral would actually make them feel ease. Any unwanted signal or suspicious behavior of the laptop makes them crazy and they carry the manual check. Always keep useful files in your laptop and don’t keep something that is objectionable while you fly. If that is required better write the file on CD or carry in some external storage and put in luggage that you won’t be carrying on board the plane.
