Default Want to buy a new laptop

    Hi All,
I want to buy a budget laptop (under 40k) with good features in it.
The RAM must be of 4GB. I don't care much about the storage capacity. Anything greater than 320GB is okay for me.

On this weekend I checked out Acer 5740 and I did like it.
It had Intel Core i5-430M processor, 15.6 ince monitor,4GB DDR3 RAM and 500GB Sata Hard Disk and the cost was 35k.

The only glitch was that it didn't have Radeon HD graphics card.
Although I am not a game freak, I decided to wait for greater deal.

    What you guys suggest?

If for Business use at a fixed Location a desktop
    better choice.
Carrying laptop to and fro from home/office , weight matters.
The OS should be genuine and licensed copy. You may have to spend more on Software
    applications.

An Olive laptop with genuine Windows OS with
TataPhoton connection etc advertised in these forums. ( also on TV) ( weight I think about 1 .1 Kg)

I am a s/w engineer so I need high performance laptop. So I need good processor and ample of RAM (4GB would be sufficient).

Carrying the laptop to my office doesn't arise, so weight is not a big issue. However I'd love to have a lighter one.

This is okay but if you want a higher storage capacity. You can just get a portable HD with a high capacity like those from Western Digital. They have 1TB to 2TB HDs.
