    Default Dell Adamo XPS

A new great, thin and stylish laptop by Dell. Most of users now want thin laptops. The war of thin laptops and notebooks have began a few years ago when Apple engineered the Macbook Air, which was touted to be ridiculously thin at the time. Other companies like Lenovo , Dell, HP and more recently Sony followed this to over come their opponents. And now this illogical race for supreme thinness continues with Dell's new entrant in the slim brigade -- the Adamo XPS.

This Adamo XPS's includes a USB-powered DVD writer and a 500GB portable hard drive. The Adamo XPS weights just 1.44 kg.In it, it has Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit OS. The HDD included in it is 128GB solid state drive. It has 4GB DDR3 SDRAM with Intel Core2 Duo processor SU9400 (1.4 GHz ULV). The bad thing in it is that it has Intel GS45 Integrated Graphics with 256MB Shared Memory.

The laptop has a unique opening mechanism for the lid. The edge has a capacitive touch strip that unlatches only when a finger is slid over it. Although it does not serve any functional purpose, we have to admit that it's a cool way to open the laptop. Opening the laptop also reveals another never-seen-before design concept.

The only disadvantages it has are Highly expensive, inconvenient function keys. It has low battery life of only 2 hours . It has no appealing hardware upgrades as compared to the original Adamo and its competitors
