    Default I need an "Outstanding Notebook"

    Please suggest me a good notebook,
    I will be using it for home and college use,as i am a BCA student,suggest me for the following configs:
    1.1 GB-GPU(Minimum)
    2.500 GB-HDD(Should be upgradable)
    3.2GB-Ram(Minimum)
    4.Battery-9 Cell
    5.Screen size-14"
    6.Sound quality matters a lot to me!
    7.Cpu-Intel core i3 or i5
    I have seen dell website,it looks "Inspiron" series have good options and it's looks are better than Studio!
    OEM - Software Solutions - Sound Blaster X-Fi MB(There are some studio laptops which have this optional service.What is this?What it can do?)(What is this?3-Watt (1.5W each) integrated speakers with SRS® Premium Sound software enhancement)Among two of them which is better?
    Ya outside look will matter too!
    Please reply me urgently!

    at one point you need "Outstanding Notebook" and at another point your budget doesn't match up, the specs you mentioned are not outstanding they are just ok in 50K budget i will suggest you to by Dell Studio series notebooks.

    simply no offense but
    Outstanding sounds like this

    * Intel® Core™ i7-740QM Processor 1.73 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.93 GHz
    * Genuine Windows® 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
    * 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM
    * 640 GB HDD
    * 16.4 (41.6 cm) wide (Full HD: 1920 x 1080) VAIO, Full HD 1080, Adobe RGB 100% coverage
    * NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M GPU with CUDA™ Technology with 1 GB DDR3
    * Blu-ray Disc™ Drive

    cost of this notebook by sony is Rs 1,30,000!!

    What does turbo boosts upto means and yes i did asked my questions upon looks of inspiron and studio and sound quality too,are the studio's too upgradable like inspiron ones?
    See here:
    Inspiron 14R Laptop Details | Dell India
    here hard disk is upgradable upto 640 GB but in studios i didn't find this upgrade option
    and ya,are studios too customizable like inspiron's?+What about those features like finger print reader and face recognition?are they available in dell?And in the previous thread the thread starter has reported the feature of multimedia remote in hp....what's this????

    Sony Vaio F -series is terribly overpriced... don't bother

    What does turbo boosts upto means
    Its an Intel technology that increases your core clock speed, when the other core/cores is/are idle(dual/quad).

    regards studio and Inspiron , go for a studio with i3/i5 and a 1 GB 4xxx ATI card, it will come within 45-55k. But by any measure they would not be outstanding and if you have some US friends, consider buying an ASUS laptop from bestbuy or new egg.
