    Default Need suggestion on laptop

Hey guys I know there are lots of laptop buying thread are here but as my requirements are bit different so I though i would create some different thread.

    Budget - 35k (+/- 1k is ok)
    Preference - RAM
preferring 3gb ddr3 (if you suggest 2gb ones then should be option for upgrading it to 3-4 gb)
    HDD - 320 gb
CPU - preferring i3 or i5 though core 2 duo will work fine too
    OS -
Genuine W7 home premium atleast (if you suggest home basic ones then there should be option for upgrade to home premium)
GPU - Dedicated to support light gaming (intel GMA = no no)
    Screen size atleast 13"

    Work -
1> I commonly use VMware for my practice, where i use 2-3 virtual machines, so need a laptop to support this kind of work
    2> some light gaming
3> usual documentation work + music
    thats all....

Also can any one of you please tell me that if the Dell Inspiron series have some over heating problem???

Dude, i3( OK) or i5( for 35k are you kidding!!!).you would get 3GB RAM i3 350 ,320GB hard disk and a ATI 5470(just ok) card (DELL model T540611IN8) for 38,900 at 35 k you would not get a discrete graphics card, unless you take a Gateway or MSI laptop which are good too.

Please visit an Acer store dude. They should have some new models with AMD Phenom 2 quads and Athlon II processors. They have been released in the US some months back so should be here. I am sadly out of touch

The Athlon II processors are dual cores, some laptops in the US have an Athlon II, 4GB RAM ,500GB HDD for $400, so lets hope they are some Rs24k here. Those should be fine for your needs.

Also have a look at gateway laptops, pretty good VFM. Gateway is a part of Acer btw.

Never heard of heating "issues" with the inspiron, they just get a bit hot, thats it

Dell is way better when it comes to heating, HP heats up like a hot plate!! yeah a discrete graphics card means more power drawn and that translates to mare heat!!
