Thread: How Do I check how much graphic memory does my laptop have

recently i got a laptop Dell Inspiron 14R Laptop (T540610IN8) Inspiron 14R Laptop Details | Dell India
the company says it has 1gb graphics but when i checked hardware properties of the card it shows 2048mb what does this mean also how will i come to know if it has ddr2 or ddr3 graphic card
plz help

It has DDR3 memory, the actual dedicated memory is 1GB and not 2GB as reported.

The 5470 is not good for gaming btw...

Yeah,it has 1gb dedicated and 1 gb shared
Hardley any cards have 2gb dedicated,All those are 20k+

The Radeon HD 5470 is not the best
but good when it comes to playing normal games like Crysis(@ low res),COD6,Just Cause 2,Fifa 10,Singularity etc

I had an 5670 that could run all games till date on high settings @ 32fps

a 5670 is good, the 5470 has only 80 shaders compared to the 5670's 400 shaders, so the gaming performance is going to be poor in most cases.

I still run Cod 6 and Jc 2 on my dad's office comp which has Nvidia 7200gs 256mb

And I can tell you that 5470 can run future games till 3yrs from now
