Thread: Best deals under 30k currently in Mumbai?

Hello,

Before everybody jumps to say that there are several threads asking for advice on which computer to buy, let me reassure you that I have spent some time reviewing various other requests on this forum.

My question is not as much about model but more about best price deals in Mumbai for a basic computer that I require. The usage will mainly be browsing websites, seeing YouTube videos and amongst the applications, it will be used only for OpenOffice Document and Spreadsheet.

I wanted to take advice of other Gurus / Experts on this website if they know the best deals currently (23rd August, 2010 onwards) and what reliable stores to buy from? To be specific, I live near Juhu Circle and if anyone knows any stores close by in the suburbs, that will be even better. I have been to Alfa, Croma, etc. but their prices are varying over the months. With festival season offers floating around, I am unable to get the information about best price anywhere. If any of you know, then please do share.

DVD: Read and Write required
Screen: 14+ inches
Warranty: 1+ year
Brands: Dell or Toshiba or Acer

Acer emachine E725. Kindly check it out. Had bought one of them six months prior to this post for 21k. It should cost somewhere around that price even now.

Usually LINUX O.S included. You may have to pay Rs 5000/= to
Rs 8000 for Windows 7 versions.Genuine installation cd
Also for ethernet Lancard wlan card etc. for Internet connection.
Monitor usually LCD type now a days. CRT monitor out of date.
