Hi guys,I am willing to buy a netbook. It would be a great favor if all the netbook users share your experiences regarding your netbooks and post their configurations.

Quite happy with : Acer Home
one viewpoint. Depends on your usage.
source: cnet forumNetbooks are an underpowered computer in a notebook form factor. Netbooks are designed for basic internet access only. They are built to surf the web and get e-mail, but if you wish to do any type of computing work, i.e., spreadsheets, gaming, databases, etc., you will need a full notebook. Netbooks are built with the new Intel Atom processor which is a really low power cpu that is designed to extend battery life by minimizing performance. A true netbook will come with Windows XP installed because it is not powerful enough to run Vista. If you are just looking for something small and lightweight but with enough power to be a true computer, you might want to look at something like the HP 2133 Mini-note PC or a Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile PC which uses a tablet PC form factor.
Ty dilip.
That is true essbebe, that is all i need..

HP netbooks are costlier than Dell and Acer alternatives. Most netbooks are the same. They charge extra in the name of brand value. You can get one from Simmtronics for Rs.13,000.

Rs22.5k is a little steep for a netbook, but nice to see that you are happy with it
Why not get a Tablet+3G ?Its a more stylish, less productive option...
i bought a dell inspirion mini 10 for my brother.it has intel atom,2 GB ram,320 GB HDD,10.1" 16:9 screen,LED backlit LCD display WIFI,LAN,bluetooth,MM card reader and 6 cell battery.he has run it on battery power for like 9 hours after slightly detuning it.very good for all online applications and word processing.also very good for watching SD movies.will be an excellent choice for students if a full size laptop is out of question.all for 22000 bucks.
Ty essbebe, but the prices seem to have not been updated. 'll look through them
Great price, but its feed back seems bad.
Prices quite high. China set itself is 15+ as far as i know
Ty for your feedback mani. I am in chennai presently. Yes i thought evdo, but the speed varies drastically depending on various conditions. I could use my phone which gives 460kpbs, itself as modem if good speed is not attained by Evdo.

The most important things to look for in a netbook is the processor and its generation. Look out for Intel Atom based processor and try to find a netbook with a latest model of Intel Atom. Also look at the processor speed
Other important things are the RAM, Hard disc, whether it has WIFI or not, screen resolution, screen size etc. Also try to find out if it has any pre installed softwares or not.
