    Default Toshiba T130 - 16W

I looked around a lot but couldnt make up my mind on which laptop/netbook to buy and finally I came across this Toshiba T130-16W which has a decent 8 hours battery and SU4100 processor which I dont know much about and has got 3GB RAM has a webcam, bluetooth 320GB hard drive, 13.3 inch led screen and comes loaded with windows 7 home premium 64bit edition.

The price is £349 in UK which is about 25000 RS and I have a flight back to India day after so I only have one day to decide... I couldnt find the price of this one in India so if anyone knows how much is it in India it would be great.

Has anyone used this processor or the laptop? Do you know of any other laptop of similar configuration with similar battery life but with a CD drive?

    nice find mate...

@admin:the price is really nice. On ebay global, the price is Rs35,000,so this is a real good buy. The processor is better than the Intel Atoms, so it will perform better than your average netbook. Ultra low voltage will keep power consumption low too.

Btw, just tempted to say this, check out the HTC Desire HD, will cost the same, much more "style" factor . But seriously, Its a good phone, take 10 min off for a hands on

I have bought this netbook now and I dont find the processor to be slow or anything and 3 gb ram helps... I guess its good value for money and I dont really use the cd drive and wont miss it. Installing something new would be a pain but its just a one time thing and with that sacrifice comes a very long battery back up... apparently this works for 11 hours contineusly on full charge although the box says 8 hours. The webcam is decent qualitybut the speakers are a disappointment as they are not loud enough.... or may be the videos I played from youtube had messed up sound.

Toshiba claims a battery backup of 9 hours so thought will give it a try and mine worked for little over 10 hours I didnt run it for 10 hours at one go.. it was 6 hours yesterday and then I had to shut it down and then another 4+ hours today... Laptop didint shut down I just put the charger in because I didint want the battery to drain fully. It was mainly firefox and nothing else running with reliance netconnect broadband plus USB modem plugged into it.

The touch pad is crap and the speaker volume is too low... apart from that I find it alright.

Does anyone know of a way to increase the speaker volume? Any software that I can use to make it a bit louder?
