Anybody can help me? My laptop can't boot, cause it shorted by usb port, no display!

Give details of the laptop. Guarantee period over ?
remove the external unit/s connected to USB port/s!!!!!

Guarantee expired, only 1 year(till 2009)

Problems cause shorted by USB Port, and then:
1.Indicator power lamp is on,black screen.
2.Can't booting.
3.I heard the harddisk is on(running) but its indicator lamp is off.
4.CD room can eject but its indicator lamp is off too.

Can you show me some pictures,to make me easy to understand it?
Which are components that I will remove?? Tell me please!

What ever you had connected to usb ports mouse/keyboard/ camera memory stick etc.
How did you conclude USB port is shorting ?

Also remove power adapter and try in battery mode.

May be Power supply problem or built in Video card faulty and beyond repair.
Consult the dealer from whom you purchased the laptop.

I bought my laptop from my friend in second,not from dealer.
I make mistake, last time...I was charging my mobilephone from 5Volt of USB port, I connected Positive(+) of USB port to Negative(-) cable of mobilephone, and then the screen of my laptop is black screen,but the indicator lamp of power supply is still "ON".
Tell me step by step to repair it, please! or show me some pics if you don't mind!

I think he may remove the battery and try with adopter. After all , an USB power control chip could fail. but not the whole Lap top
I suppose incidental battery weak, or discharged.

Reset of BIOS to original default value by some way could help restore.
I understand that he cant do without a monitor.
this machine has socket for external monitor that can help to further.

first of all, if u try to start it, then u might aggravate this issue further.

try cleaning the USB ports.

then find out which one is shorted. u can do this with basic knowledge of electronics and a continuity tester (available for Rs - 25).

once this is done, and if u still face this issue, then u must take your laptop to an authorized service center or a local computer repair shop!
