    Default Upgrading laptop? please help.

    hi all,
    i'm planning to upgrade my laptop. the current specs. are as follows
    Intel pentium T3200, 2.0GHz, 667 Mhz, 160 GB SATA HARDDISK, 5400rpm; 1GB RAM (expandable to 8 gb)
    planning to upgrade to 500 gb SATA and 2 GB RAM.

    i got a doubt is it possible to upgrade with the same processor and motherboard.

    Mention model name of the laptop.
    Presume you will replace the RAM etc in laptop,
    without calling a service engineer.

    Intel Core 2 Duo P8400(2.26 ghz,3 mb cache, 1066 Mhz)
    4gb DDR2 800 Mhz RAM
    320 gb sata 2 hd
    nVidia Geforce 9600M GS with 512 MB Vram
    2 Mp camera
    HDMI port
    E-sata port
    Dual layer dvd writer
    etc. etc.

    re check configuration.

    Nope, i have mentioned the config in first post, i bought it some 2 yrs ago.

    yes this is mine, now planning to upgrade it to 2 gb and 500 gb HDD.

    yes, upgrading RAM is possible, cannot say same about the hard drive.

    please check zenith's website for available upgrades or recommended upgrades. all listed upgrades on the site will be possible.

    also, i think u will need to use 2 sticks of 1 gb RAM. this is actually a little costlier, but safer option. since if one ram stick fails, u still have one left functioning, and no downtime.
