both the models suggested above are single core atom based & not worth the money in my opinion.

    my suggestion:

Asus R051PX (Crystal White) Atom Dual Core Laptop--Free Shipping

    Acer - AOHAPPY2 (320GB HDD): Netbooks - Best Price Rs.15,750 - Compare India

both are priced ~15500-16500 & have dual core atom.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I got your point & importance of the dual core processor and in those two models, which is best in performance and good servicing support(all over india).

For the kind of usage that you have mentioned, a netbook is more than sufficient. You will get lots of models at a price that is below Rs. 18000. You will get models from Asus, HP, Dell, Acer, Lenovo etc. But just be sure that you get a netbook which runs on Intel Atom based processor. I have been using an Intel Atom based netbook since last year and I am very satisfied with its performance.

Ranjan I don't think that if we can get a notebook within our budget then we should buy a notebook and should not think about a netbook. It all depends upon our requirements and who doesn't mind saving a few bucks. One of my friend who daily travels 3 hours has decided buy a netbook as he finds his notebook too heavy to carry along.
